While we offer testing for everyone, we accept that our services may be limited for those seeking support after sexual assault or domestic violence. That is why we have compiled organizations that can provide specific support to these cases, scroll down to find more information.   • Denver Health SANE Nurses

    Through the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) unit, forensic medical exams are performed by registered nurse examiners 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Dedicated Nurse Examiners provide services to all patients, regardless of age or gender.

    The SANE Unit offers medical examination and treatment, advice and legal assistance if desired after an assault. A sexual assault exam can be conducted up to seven days after the assault occurred. No prior appointment is necessary to be seen by the SANE team.

  • The Blue Bench

    Blue Bench also offers hospital advocates for anyone who has experienced a recent sexual assault (within the last 5-7 days) and needs immediate support in the hospital or regarding reporting. Blue Bench also offers case managers to provide assistance and referrals for many basic needs, such as housing, food, clothing, and rental assistance. They provide assistance and support with the medical and reporting process, and escort to hospitals, law enforcement agencies, and court appointments. Call the office during business hours (9am to 6pm MST) at 303-329-9922. Blue Bench counselors provide short-term and long-term therapy, as well as various therapy and support groups. In addition, they also offer a specific workshop for friends and family.

  • The Initiative

    The Initiative (formerly known as the Domestic Violence Initiative or DVI) advocates for people with disabilities who are victims of abuse.

    The initiative offers victim advocacy, domestic violence counseling, and education and outreach programs. Advocates are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  • NOVA: National Organization for Victim Assistance

    NOVA advocates for victims by connecting them with services and resources on a variety of topics.

    NOVA provides skills-based training for victim advocates and crisis responders. Click the button to open your resource page.

  • Safehouse Denver

    Advocacy-based domestic violence counseling for DV survivors. Services are offered free of charge in English and Spanish.

  • Rose Andom Center

    Offers counseling and support for survivors of domestic violence. Rose Andom offers a multitude of support and resources including advocacy, housing assistance, criminal/legal assistance, and children's programs. Click the button for more information or give them a call.
